The ‘Who Done It’ contest has ended. We have a winner! Congrats to Donna from Walker, LA for having the correct answer first. The final question was: What thing caused Talladega Superspeedway challenges for its first 33 years? The answer is: A pipe Before the track was built in 1968, an open-ended pipe that had been around since WWII was buried underground that was never discovered when building Talladega Superspeedway. It was never determined what the original purpose of the pipe was and why it had never been identified before. The pipe continued to leak water and track staff tried to treat the water issue without success. The root of the problem was not discovered till 2002. They pipe was filled with grout eliminating the problem. We had several answers that were posted before that were close, but not quite what we were looking for. Congrats to Donna! She will be enjoying her Grand Prize next week at the AMP Energy 500!
