Halloween is the number one holiday for candy sales. Sales will near 2.1 billion dollars this year! That is up almost 3 percent since last year and there is reason to believe this increase will continue. Candy corn seems to be the all around candy favorite as Americans are expected to purchase 20 million pounds of the corn shaped treat.

With 93% of our children hitting the pavement to trick or treat, here’s what candy favorites will keep them happy…

Michaels has they’re Halloween stuff for sale. Already? Really??
 HALLOW-DEGA:
Start getting your plans together to decorate your campsite with some great Halloween items from Michaels. I don’t know where this store is, but I have never seen a display like this in a Michaels store.

Now this, on the other hand, I do want. Apparently Hong Kong Disneyland has gone crazy the last two years on the Halloween overlays, with a haunted hotel walkthrough on Main Street, a “Demon Jungle” in Adventureland and Knott’s Berry Farm-esque scare zones (more photos here.) From visiting I’m very familiar with how overboard Tokyo Disneyland goes for Halloween, but Hong Kong seems to make an effort to be outright scary.

From HALLOW-DEGA: This is a little scary for a Disneyland Halloween. Hong Kong Disneyland goes all out for the holiday. Make sure you check out this pictures above. Not a place I would take kids as a fun place.

giaface:

MTV Films and Sky Movies are planning to remake The Rocky Horror Picture Show.[29] The network is planning a 2-hour-long remake to be based on the original screenplay, and featuring songs not included in the original. The film is anticipated to be released sometime around Halloween 2009. The creator of the original, Richard O’Brien, will not be involved; he has said that while he has no view on whether it should be remade, it does not have his blessing

From HALLOW-DEGA:

This is an interesting post we found. There is no hope in keeping a classic a classic. Why are we seeing so many people remaking the old stuff?
