Race fans have known for years what NASCAR Scene recently published. .. Talladega Superspeedway is the top track in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.  The key factors in rating Talladega best of the final ten races were: competition, facilities, ambience, surroundings and history.  Talladega was the only track to score top marks in three categories (competition, ambience and history).

Randy Owen To Perform During AMP Energy 500 Pre-Race Ceremonies

Alabama native and country music legend Randy Owen is coming to Talladega Superspeedway thanks to BamaJam Productions, to perform the hit single “My Home’s in Alabama” during pre-race ceremonies for the Nov. 1 AMP Energy 500.

Country Music Singer, Darryl Worley, will be performing during Fan Appreciation Day on Sept. 20th at Talladega Superspeedway. Some of his hit songs include, ‘Have You Forgotten’ and ‘Awful, Beautiful Life’.

Activities start at 10AM in the infield including FREE food, kids activities, Hall of Fame cars on display, photo opportunities and more. Fans will also have the opportunity to get autographs from Richard Brickhouse, Dave Marcis, and Sterling Marlin, all past winners at Talladega.

Ticket holders to either 2009 event at Talladega (Aaron’s 499 & AMP Energy 500) will be able to drive their car on the track with paced laps on this day.
