The induction ceremony was moved from December to April and the location from Birmingham to the track in Talladega thus omitting the induction of 1995 class.

Bill Cosby flew into Talladega Municipal Airport on May 12, 1992 to give the commencement speech at Talladega College.

A stunt man got pulled over for speeding by an Alabama state trooper in Ricky Bobby’s car filming the final scene on Speedway Blvd (just outside the track).
